Join SAP Mentors (and SAP Mentor Alumni) as they present at the following ASUG Sessions at SAP TechEd Las Vegas (September 19-23):
|TEC209||A Hands-On Guide to the Internet of Things||In this session we’ll look at some of the capabilities of both the IoT service on SAP HANA as well as the humble ABAP stack. We’ll discuss common architectural patterns for IoT and some of the off-the-shelf components that can be used in implementing an IoT solution. Finally, we’ll look at several use-cases and ask the question, “Is my ECC a thing?”
This session will be a mixture of lecture and live demos leaving attendees with enough info to build similar solutions in their own organization.
|ANP114||Are You Ready to Migrate to SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio?||Explore the main differences between SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards (formerly Xcelsius) and SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio, and get expert advice on how to migrate your existing SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards to SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio.||Ingo Hilgefort|
|UX202||Building Services for SAP Gateway||This presentation will cover my personal ‘best practises’ for developing services for SAP Gateway. Using lots of code examples, we will cover useful design patterns, code reuse, optimizing performance, and reducing development effort. A must for all developers of SAP Gateway.||Graham Robinson|
|ITM216||Deployment Options with Business Continuity for SAP HANA (HA and DR)||The SAP HANA platform runs critical customer workloads and therefore needs to be protected against failure. This session will provide an overview of available high-availability (HA) and disaster-recovery (DR) options and then will take a deep dive into two of the most common options for deploying SAP HANA (host auto-failover and system replication) and how to take these options into consideration for your landscape.||Tomas Krojzl|
|INT206||Enabling Smarter Process Manufacturing Using SAP OEE Management||Learn how to use and enhance the SAP Overall Equipment Effectiveness Management application (SAP OEE Management) for process manufacturing operations based on the SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence application (SAP MII) integrated with SAP ERP and enabling shop-floor systems integration. This session explains developing automation system integration with SAP MII for OEE, customizing production operator dashboards, developing custom OEE analytics, and implementation case studies.||Dipankar Saha|
|UX108||Guerrilla UX Design: How to Engage with Real Users in the Face of Adversity||Let’s face it, User Experience Design can be costly but in the long run leaving it out could cost you a whole lot more. While many organizations are starting to realize the benefits of UX design getting the right amount of support and time can be hard. This session looks at ways you can engage with real end users quickly and inexpensively. If you are looking for ways to bring UX design to your work but you don’t necessarily have a lot of time, money or support, then this is the session for you.||Simon Kemp|
|SEC208||It Takes More Than Passwords to Secure Applications in the New World||Not long ago, most companies secured their SAP systems with only a user ID and simple password. But as landscapes grew more complex, users acquired too many passwords to manage. Password synchronization emerged as a way to reduce the number of passwords to one. While this can increase risk if the synchronized password is compromised, added innovations can compensate. Learn about the innovative options in SAP Single Sign-On and its ability to issue X.509 certificates for secure SSO.||Greg Capps|
|DMM114||Management of Company Code Master Data in SAP Master Data Governance||Intel depends on the SAP Master Data Governance application to manage much of its SAP configuration via a well-governed, streamlined process. This session covers how Intel improved the management of its company code with SAP Master Data Governance. Intel reduced the time needed to create company code from three-to-four hours to just 30 minutes and also improved process flows, data quality, and the ability to manage different attributions per SAP ECC client.||Jolene Jonas|
|DMM113||The Benefits of Data Archiving||Is your company thinking about starting a project to archive its SAP data? Attend this session to learn about the benefits of data archiving, such as reducing the system footprint before migrating to the cloud. Take this opportunity to get archiving best practices and tips and tricks learned over the years.||Karin Tillotson|
