SAP BC Overview Slide Deck
This is the brand new Overview slide deck, completely overhauled for SAP BC 6.0. I have moved the new features of NWBC 5.0 to an appendix and added lots of new content, including:
– Integrating SAP Fiori Apps in NWBC 5.0 and SAP BC 6.0
– Integrating SAP Fiori Launchpad in SAP BC 6.0
– Support for SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition in SAP BC
The public URL for the download is here:
Please feel free to comment below the line.
Thank you for this new deck, Julie. Do you have a suggestion on where we can find additional information on how to integrate BI apps to BC 6.0?
Thank you,
Daniel Leal
Hi Daniel,
There is not much docu on this.
Basically, you:
1. Create an OpenDocument URL.
2. Paste this into a PFCG entry.
This takes the form:
<BOE_Server:Port>/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=<DocId>
To create an OpenDocument URL from an existing document, I found the following very useful:
How-to-create-OpenDocument-URLs-with-SAP-BusinessObjects-BI-4.0.pdf
(Not official SAP docu). This includes a link to a URL parameter reference + step by step guide.
HTH Julie.
hi Juliethanks for all the blogs, very useful
in the new BC6 pdf overview page 35 talks about >750 powls delivered by sap, where do we find a list or more documentation about these
I have seen your earlier blog that links to the enablement kit http://help.sap.com/bp-ekit
which has around 250 powls listed.
In particular, I'm looking for details on powls for DMS or ISU
I've also tried using the powl_cockpit transaction on our system which has EHP8 and I see around 500, but a lot of the examples don't have any descriptions.
cheers
Terry
Hi Terry,
Sorry about the delay.
Unfortunately, since SAP BC is basically a window for displaying transactions / applications etc in, we don't have detailed information on application-specific features.
I will contact my colleagues internally, and get back to you if anything emerges.
However, the best bet is probably to repost this on the relevant fora:
DMS is part of PLM as you know:
http://go.sap.com/community/topic/plm.html
IS-U is:
http://go.sap.com/community/topic/utilities.html
Sorry I can't be more help,
Best wishes
Julie R Plummer.
Hi Terry,
I contacted the PO for IS-U directly: He has stated that there are no POWLs specific to IS-U.
I am sorry that this is the case.
Best wishes Julie R Plummer.
