In our ongoing promise to help provide more insight and guidance to HR and Business Leaders about their workforce,  we are thrilled to introduce new capabilities that further “democratize” workforce data, and simplify reporting and analytics so guidance and insight is surfaced and leveraged as part of everyday work life.

Embedded Analytics Panel

We continue to make SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite more intelligent, and intuitive.  As HR and managers work in critical areas like recruiting, learning, performance, compensation and succession, they need better insight and guidance – as they are working-- not after the fact.  The fact that today they don’t always have the information at hand can slow down the completion of the activity and likely requires them to make additional passes and make corrections.

How can we support HR and managers with data-driven insight while they are involved in compensation planning, succession planning, or recruiting for example? By proactively providing answers to the most common questions with a single click.  With our new “analytics panel”, we’re now able to provide more insight and guidance to HR and managers on-the spot, when and where they need help.

With a single click our “analytics panel” provides more insight about whatever page and topic HR and managers are currently working on.

This vital feature increases managers’ productivity by helping them clearly understand each situation, and saves time by minimizing the need to navigate away from where they are working to find the information they need to take action. This also frees up HR, IT and support resources from having to address routine inquiries, especially during peak periods.

This capability will be expanded over multiple releases and is a native part of SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite.  It does not require SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics (WFA); however, information from WFA can be configured for access here for a richer experience in addition to their foundational data.

Investigate

Interactive data exploration has always been at the core of the SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics solution.  SAP SuccessFactors was one of the pioneers of interactive web based analytics over a decade ago and now Investigate ushers in the next generation as our overall user experience makes a leap forward.

Investigate simplifies and accelerates the steps and the process that HR analysts go through to identify and examine issues.   Building on the comprehensive analytical library that comes with SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics, Investigate automatically, and intelligently surfaces recommended metrics and analysis dimensions as well as appropriate visualizations.

Plus, Investigate combines a clean and modern look based on SAP Fiori design principles to make interactive analytics simple and handy.

Benchmarks

The SuccessFactors benchmark set, in operation since 1991, is comprised of data collected at the transaction-level from organizations’ HRIS (for example: hire date, pay increase date, transfer date, etc.), thus providing a rich set of benchmarks with slice and dice capability across key analysis options (for example: breakdown by gender, ethnicity, etc.).  The SAP SuccessFactors program maintains rigorous adherence to measurement standards set across the program to deliver true “Apples–to–Apples” benchmarks unlike any other program on the market.

2015 calendar year benchmarks are available in SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics with the Q2 2016 release.  Benchmarks include standard metrics focused on operations and strategy of both the workforce and human resources functions, with a subset that highlights industry-specific metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

SAP SuccessFactors in the Digital Boardroom

Business analysts and BI professionals often need to combine and blend HR data with other application data (S4/HANA, HCP, BW, etc.) to deliver a 360 degree view of your business and to expose the information to leadership and executives leveraging the Digital BoardroomSAP BusinessObjects Cloud for BI provides all enterprise business intelligence capabilities in one user experience and now extends to SAP SuccessFactors as a data source via Web Services API based on OData protocol.
