In SAP Labs Bulgaria we value the role of a Buddy as essential for every new colleague. Besides giving the first clues to the new hire about the company culture, directing the new hire to the Onboarding event place, the Buddy plays the key figure, especially for development during the initial six months of our new colleagues.
In addition to all standard materials from the onboarding process available for the Buddy on the corporate portal, we have a local Buddy session before the starting date of the new hires. Since March 2016 we invite all assigned buddies and also colleagues who will be in this role in the near future to take part in the session. The aim of this event is to increase engagement, underline important responsibilities and present concrete best onboarding practices in different teams. The session came as a result of a SLB focus group discussion and is prepared and delivered by our colleague from JEDI, Ralitsa Dobreva, Quality expert with opening done by the Managing Director of SAP Labs Bulgaria, Radoslav Nikolov.
