1.1 SAP HANA LIVE

1.1.1 About HANA Live

SAP HANA Live (previously known as SHAF – SAPHANA Analytic Foundation) is solution for real-time reporting on HANA. It is a separate package that comes with predefined SAP HANA content across the SAP Business Suite.

There are 2 types of Installation is possible for SAP HANA Live.

1. Integrated Scenario
2. Side by Side Scenario

• Integrated scenario

SAP HANA Live shares an SAP HANA appliance with the Business Suite system, whose data is used for SAP HANA Live. This scenario is recommended for source systems that run on SAP HANA.

• Side-by-side scenario

Two separate systems where the data is replicated using SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server.

1.1.1 Software Download

Lets take example to install following Module and configure on ECC 6.0 EHP8 system.

1. SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP
2. SAP HANA ANALY. ERP EHP7
3. SAP HANA ANALY. F. FND
4. SAP HANA CONTENT TOOLS

Software can be downloaded as below –

1. 1.       SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP

Like “SAP HANA ANALYTICS for ERP”, it is saying that Required Product Version is should be “SAP HANA Platform Edition 1.0 SPS08, revision 82 or higher”

Installation Information for SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP 1.0

• Instance: HANA Content ECC Server

Like “SAP HANA ANALY ERP EHP7”, it is saying that Required Product Version is should be “SAP HANA ANALY. ERP EHP4 1.0 SPS08, instance HANA Content Central Appl.”

It means, we will have to install “SAP HANA ANALY. ERP EHP4”, first before “SAP HANA ANALY ERP EHP7”

Installation Information for SAP HANA ANALY. ERP EHP7 1.0

• Instance: HANA Content Central Appl. VDM

Also refer the given Note for more information.

Required Steps

Schema Mapping

In the SAP HANA Studio, in the Modeler perspective, on the Quick Launch tab, select the relevant SAP HANA system and choose Setup, then Schema Mapping to add a new schema mapping from the authoring schema to the physical schema.

You will understand the required Authoring schema name from Installation Information for “Module name”

Click on Schema Mapping

Select your Database SID and Click Next

You may find 2 authoring schema in Hana database default hence few module will not require to create and for few it is needed to create.

For my case, I have created 1 authoring Schema

SAP_FND

This was the preliminary requirement for module “SAP HANA ANALY. F. FND”
