On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 we were pleased to welcome 23 MBA students from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management who were accompanied by Ms. Karin Reuschenbach-Coutinho (Head of Career Services) and Ms. Rosa Katharina Homburg (Student Relations) at SAP SE in Walldorf. The MBA class consisted of highly-selected international talents from a variety of industries and nationalities and with diverse professional backgrounds.

Dr. Bernd Welz (Executive Vice President, Head of Solution & Knowledge Packaging) welcomed the class of 2016 who listened carefully to his words. Bernd Welz gave not only an overview of his career path, he talked about SAP`s history, Big Data and the Digital Transformation as well.

Subsequently to Bernd Welz` welcome speech Gero Maeder (Chief Product Expert GRC) and Joachim Sander (User Experience Design Expert) held presentations with the focus on Finance. To be more specific, our colleagues talked about Finance in the Digital Economy and the next generation Business Software User Experience. For example, Gero Maeder explained what digital means for finance. Afterwards the group had occasion to see a demonstration on the SAP Digital Boardroom by Markus Schunter (Lead of SAP Digital Boardroom and SAP Business Objects Cloud). The Digital Boardroom was designed to help to understand the past, predict the future and conduct business successfully in today’s digital economy. The main aim is to give a 360° view of the enterprise in real time. High-level as well as detail-level information is available. It offers for example Board Members, Executives and Decision makers the single source of truth about business.

After having lunch together, the MBAs joined a tour through our campus and visited the SAP Inspiration Pavilion, where you can learn more about the history of SAP and experience firsthand the manifold faces of Big Data.

Thank you Ms. Reuschenbach-Coutinho, Ms. Rosa Katharina Homburg and your students for visiting SAP SE. It is always a pleasure for us to welcome students from all over the world here at our Headquarters.
