Introducing the New SAP Fiori Design Guidelines for iOS

Header_Comp.png

If you are a UX designer, your work is about to get a whole lot more interesting. The new SAP Fiori Guidelines for iOS are now available to get you started on SAP Fiori for iOS.

The new guidelines describe the behaviors – interaction, UI elements, information hierarchy, and visual design – that define a consistent experience across the different apps. They also provide information on how to implement the design values and principles of SAP Fiori for the iOS platform. They do not define an entirely new design language for iOS, but rather adapt the existing design language of SAP Fiori to the iOS platform and to Apple’s iOS Human Interface Guidelines.

On May 5, Apple® and SAP announced a partnership to revolutionize the mobile work experience by combining the world-renowned user experience of the iOS platform with SAP’s expertise in business processes and software. The SAP Fiori for iOS portfolio will focus on high-impact scenarios to complement the existing SAP Fiori portfolio. The apps will provide instant access to critical enterprise data and business processes on SAP S4/HANA, while making full use of the native features of the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, such as Touch ID, 3D Touch, Location Services, Notifications, and more.
