On April 14th, around 40 students and teachers from 11 schools played the ERP Simulation Game at Young Business School Heidelberg. In cooperation with Hopp Foundation for Computer Literacy and the UCC München who sponsored the SAP system the SAP Young Thinkers Team invited students and teachers to lean about business processes and get hands on into a real SAP system in a fun and gaming way.

The students, between 12 and 17 years old, have never been in touch with a SAP system before. After a short introduction about SAP and SAP Young Thinkers Network, they got to know some details about system. The enterprise resource planning game takes part in a real SAP ERP system and the students have to plan their company strategy, when they sell their product at what price. Even though this was totally new to them, they then did great and played 3 rounds where they were totally “into it” and every group tried to win and make most profit.

The feedback was very positive, all students wanted to continue to play and sell more products. The learning experience was great, ‘it was fun’ and ‘SAP is very simple’ were the favorite quotes of this workshop day.

Special Thanks to Michael Woidt one of our alumini School Ambassadors and Tatjana Walter who acted as fantastic coaches.
