SAP SuccessFactors Q2 2016 Release Highlights

..

It’s already three months since we delivered our first release in 2016 to you. Now, it’s spring and we’ve delivered our second release to our customers. And once again, it’s a great release! Let me briefly summarize the new features that we’re including in our SuccessFactors HCM suite.

One of our highlights is the simplification of our Presentations homepage. We added a new folder structure for storing, categorizing, and searching for presentation slides. To learn more about our Presentation Homepage, please check out Margit Bauer’s blog SAP SuccessFactors Q2 2016 release – Presentations.

As in our last release, we’ve added new intelligent services events. With intelligent services features, you will get an alert when a change is initiated. Intelligent Services automatically predicts all associated tasks and processes, and cascades them through multiple systems to completion. Read Andy Yen’s blog “SAP SuccessFactors 1605 Release Highlights – Intelligent Services”, and check out this video on intelligent services to learn more.

In Employee Central, you now can save drafts while using the new hire wizard.

And we added country-specific versions again. This release we added Cambodia and Sri Lanka. In addition, we increased the total number of country versions for Employee Central Payroll to 36 by adding Qatar, Thailand, and South Africa.

With our new time administrator workbench feature, time administrators now have a central point for analyzing recorded absence and time account postings, as well as deleting, creating, or editing new absences for employees. Read Volker Ruof’s blog “SuccessFactors Employee Central Time and Attendance features Release Q2 2016” to learn more about our time management enhancements in Q2 2016.

In our Talent Management solutions, we added some new enhancements to our continuous performance management, which we introduced last quarter. Employees can now link activities to development goals and capture key achievements.

All electronic signatures needed during the onboarding process can be managed using the SAP Signature Management application by DocuSign. This means that new hires have a simple, consistent e-signature experience through the onboarding and recruiting process.

For Learning, we added the Harvard ManageMentor to our Open Content Network. It is a premier on-demand learning and performance support resource for leadership and management skill development. Participation in a course can be formalized as part of the SAP SuccessFactors Learning solution by making the content available through catalogs, programs, curriculums, or employee assignments.

To enhance our suite-wide Human Capital Analytics capabilities we have released a new analytics panel. Accessible from anywhere within the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite with just one click, it provides visibility with useful insights and links based on the activity you are working on.

And, we introduced a new investigate feature, making data analysis easier and faster.

Finally, in our mobile solution, which is available for Android as well as for iOS platforms, we delivered new manager self-services. With a new manager team view, managers get a quick overview of direct reports and can take action, such as sending a text message or placing a call.

In addition, spot awards can be granted by managers directly from their smartphone or tablet.
