Retrospective: SAP HANA Cloud Platform presence at JAX conference April 19th-21st 2016 in Mainz

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share my retrospective on our SAP HANA Cloud Platform presence at JAX conference from April 19th-21st 2016 in Mainz.

For everyone who doesn't know the JAX conference (JAX | Konferenz für Java, Architektur & Softwareinnovationen), it is a yearly 3 day developer conference with a focus on Java, software architecture and software innovation which relates also to the name. The name JAX is an acronym for Java, Apache and XML. This year again there were workshop days ahead and after the actual conference.

With SAP we had a booth focusing on SAP HANA Cloud Platform and User Experience where we were visited by many developers and could help them around their question on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori. If you also want to get your introduction into the SAP HANA Cloud Platform or want to update your knowledge about new services that have been delivered in the last quarters, have a look at our openSAP course SAP HANA Cloud Platform Essentials that starts today and delivers a very good and holistic look at the platform in its most up to date state yet. If you read this at a later point in time or currently don't have the time to look into it, no problem, the course is always online and you can also do it in a self-paced mode at any point in time.

We also had Dr. Ralf Ackerman (Dr. Ralf Ackermann - JAX) giving a session on the internet of things - alternatives for hard- and software for flexible implementation of attractive scenarios (Internet der Dinge (IoT) – Alternativen für Hard- und Software zur flexiblen Umsetzung attraktiver S...). In his talks Ralf went deep into the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, Internet of Things services and how a developer might leverage them together with various other hard- and software platforms.

Mr. Andreas Hauser (Andreas Hauser - JAX), our Global Head of the Design and Co-Innovation Center at SAP, delivered also a very interesting session on the digital transformation of today and that it needs more than just technology to succeed (Digitale Transformation benötigt mehr als Technologie - JAX).
