"Be the tortoise, not the hare in the fable !"

Was also one of the favorite precept of my teacher...

This parable inspired from the famous Jean de la Fontaine's fable or Disney Classic (depending on of your inspiring source ) tends to promote the fact that things should be done at the right time, and almost as soon as all the preconditions are met.

At the contrary, it has no sense to begin something too early because, much of the times, it will have to be redone as the request will have surely evolved to a point where the delivered artefact will not cover anymore all the needs !

This fable also point the need to be humble and realist.

So be the tortoise, full aware of its capacity and weakness, and plan the next deadline carefully to a date you are sure you will be ready.

It is always better to announce to your customer that you are a little bit in advance on the planning, than requesting a delay !
