In March 2016 SAP SET released 2 Best Practice packages to support the integration of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, a complete new package for the integration with SAP S/4HANA on premise edition and additionally a new version for the existing ERP integration package.
The first one is called the SAP Best Practices for SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition integration with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. This Best Practice helps customers to control their implementation and operational costs for this integration scenario.

In this Best Practice SAP describes how to integrate SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP S/4HANA on premise system with flexible and automated data exchange via SAP HANA Cloud Integration. These cover integration of employee data, and organizational data, and cost center assignments from Employee Central to S/4HANA, and integration of cost center from S/4HANAto Employee Central. The Best practice offers predefined content for data integration to enable end-to-end business processes across your core cloud HR and SAP S/4HANA on premise system landscape. In this scenario, SuccessFactors Employee Central as your core HR system in the cloud is the system of record for all human resources (HR) data. The integration supports loading of initial data as well as delta integration loads that replicates only changed data.
Supported data integrations:
■ Integration of employee data between SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central where the employee data of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central enables business processes, such as travel expenses, purchase orders, and so on.
■ Integration of organizational data between SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to synchronize organizational information such as the enterprise structure data, reporting lines, and so on
■ Integration of financial data, such as cost center and cost center assignment integration between SAP S/4HANA FI and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
The second packages is launched as an RDS and is the second version of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Integration to SAP ERP rapid-deployment solution. With this version SAP HANA Cloud Integration is supported as middleware to connect SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP ERP.
SAP HANA Cloud Integration is an cloud deployed middleware and facilitates the integration of business processes and data across on-premise and cloud applications (cloud to cloud and cloud to on-premise integration).
The RDS covers the integration of employee data, and organizational data, and cost center assignments from Employee Central to ERP, and the integration of cost center from ERP to Employee Central.
