$ Sign Formatting

I am attempting to format an Amounts field with the $ sign in front of the number (i.e. $500.00)

The report is consumed through AOLAP without a semantic layer in between.

The only currency used is in Dollars – no conversion takes place.

I’ve tried in HANA to format the field as as ‘Amount with Currency Code’ and specify USD or $ but the data formats as 500.00 USD or 500.00 $

I’ve tried to create a new column to concatenate the $ and Amount Field but if I do that I have to specify it as an Attribute and then am unable to aggregate it.

Is there a way to Format this field in AOLAP?
