SAP Labs Israel d-kom 2016

On March 9th SAP Labs Israel celebrated the 2016 d-kom. This year at d-kom, we took everything up a notch, bringing to life Content, Community and the Celebration of our work and our people, while focusing on the Lab mission: Developing Ideas Into Great Enterprise Products. Close to 120 employees actively participated in making SAP Labs Israel d-kom the best one ever. It was inspiring to see how our colleagues and partners from the ecosystem joined us for this celebration – academia, startups, and SAP partners. Like one big family.

It was the first year that we invited the academia to join us and to learn about our goals and challenges. More than 50 computer science students from different academic institutions in Israel took part in the celebration. They enjoyed listening to SAP talks and lectures in SAP Salon, walking around the different booths that presented different topics and activities from our daily life in the lab, taking part in d-shop’s Drone challenge and meeting our partners and the start-up companies that work with us.

At the end of the day, Orna Kleinmann, SAP Labs Israel MD, greeted our students , encouraging them to choose different career paths – working for a multinational enterprise, as well as experience working for a startup. When the event was over, Orna said that this d-kom was for the Lab’s people, and by the Lab’s people. Maybe this is what made it so special. It was a true celebration of our content and our community.
