I (Soumya N) and Farhasadab Kazi have attended the OpenSAP course on “Extending JAM Application using HCP” and tried to implement the same in our demo account of SuccessFactor JAM.

While trying this scenario we were facing a lot many issues and we started the discussion on SCN which was successfully closed, find the discussion as “OAuth Token Generation exception”https://scn.sap.com/thread/3855410.

Hence we have written the blog so that it will be easy for you guys to try it on your system if your willing to learn HANA Extensions.Attached is the reference document describing the step by step procedure how to extend JAM functionality using HANA Cloud Platform.

We have tried to cover almost all the steps in that document required to built the successful JAM extension using HANA Cloud Platform. If you face any issues or not clear with any of the steps you can contact us.

Hope this blog will be helpful and you will enjoy building extensions using HANA Cloud Platform for JAM.

Thanks & Regards,

Soumya N, Farhasadab Kazi.

Thanks Christian…! I had a .doc file which was not supported by this site to upload. In .txt file I was not sure of visibility of the pictures that I have pasted in between, so that is the reason I converted to .xml file. Is the content inside the .xml file visible??

You are right. I had no idea you can’t upload pdf files.

I guess the best solution then is to take your text from your file, put it into directly into the blog and add your pictures in-line into the blog itself, instead of attaching it as a file.

              Hi Christian,

I am able to view the screen shots and content in word pad .

when  you click SF JAM Extension Using HCP.xml link, word pad will automatically download  with all content and screen shots.

Hi Soumya, this doesn’t work for Mac users. Ideally, it would be best – per Christian’s earlier suggestion – if you could create a new blog post and paste your text and pictures into that blog and publish?

                  Many thanks!
