Kicked-off SAP Social Entrepreneurship Program – initiative by SAP CSR Team 4. Discussed about how SAP and IITB can jointly initiate R&D projects, Co-innovate with students and faculty – initiative by SAP Labs India 5. Setting up SAP Innovation Centre at IITB campus – initiative by SAP Labs India 6. Launching SAP Next-Gen Consulting Projects – initiative by University Alliances 7. Promised to IITB of extending support for a seamless implementation of SAP solutions for their college.  IITB is currently in the process of implementing SAP.

Bill arrived at the institute receiving a warm welcome by the Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Acting Director, IIT Bombay and Prof. Ravi Sinha, Dean of Alumni & Corporate Relations, IIT Bombay at the Executive Lounge. This was  followed by a great conversation between IIT Bombay team regarding the current implementation of SAP at IIT Bombay and how they would like to explore the possibility of using SAP S/4HANA to manage their business processes. There was great discussion on how IIT Bombay can collaborate with SAP in the areas of Research and Innovation through the launch of the SAP Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre at IIT Bombay giving students  tremendous opportunities to co innovate with SAP and its ecosystem via the SAP Next-Gen Consulting Initiative from SAP University Alliances.

Together with SAP Early Talent Acquisition, SAP Corporate Social Responsibility, SAP University Alliances, and SAP Labs India, we had a packed Auditorium with 400 students and 20 lectures from IIT and colleges in Bombay to attend Bill’s “fireside chat” which was hosted by Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Acting Director, IIT Bombay and moderated by Prof. Ravi Sinha, Dean of Alumni & Corporate Relations, IIT Bombay. The event was broadcasted live to 1500+ employees at different locations at SAP and to 300 UA colleges in India. Prof Chaudhari welcomed Bill and then spoke about how IIT is the driver and mentor to the many start ups and attracting the Top companies globally to hire their students. The students had an amazing time listening to Bill’s experiences as a teenager and how he overcame significant challenges to Dream as a Winner. He also spoke about how SAP as an organization has transformed under his leadership where employees are inspired at work on a daily basis and the company celebrates its success with them and their families every year. The students were also amazed by Bill’s message that it’s your inner passion and  drive that inspires not only you to be successfully but also contribute to the success of people working with you. At the end, he simply put it across that "IF YOU BELIEVE, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING".

We take this opportunity to thank Bill for inspiring us all with his presence and sharing his experiences. It’s incredible to have him as our Leader!

There was also a personal blog authored by Bill himself about his successful trip to India. His blog is a great honor and distinction for India, and a reflection of his pride on our work.

Another highlight of his visit is that the  SAP Global Corporate Portal  has put the spotlight on India, with many focused stories about life and work at SAP in India

We look forward to seeing him again in India
