Thanks @SAPsv for the opportunity to attend the Sharks Foundation’s 2016 Sampling with the Sharks presented by Citrix wine tasting fundraiser at Club Auto Sport in San Jose on Sunday, March 13. It was a privilege to be part of a program that drives funds for the community through the Sharks Foundation and provides the opportunity to enjoy some of the finest wines from throughout Northern California while mingling with Sharks players, coaches, broadcasters and alumni.
The Sharks Foundation leverages the Sharks brand and implements effective programs that enhance the lives of youth and families. Additionally the foundation raises funds and redistributes the money back into the community by donating to high-performing non-profits and executing impactful projects.
It was fun to meet the Sharks players, coaches and announcers and participate in some awesome photo opportunities! The live auction event generated $79,000 for the Sharks Foundation, with the biggest winner being Burnzie’s Zoo Crew, enabling the winner, along with 5 friends to spend a day at the San Francisco Zoo with #88 Brent Burns. The auction drove a $50,000 winning bid, which I’m sure will be a trip of a lifetime for the winner and his friends.
Great fun to be had by all at Sampling with the Sharks presented by Citrix. It’s awesome that @SAPsv brings employees opportunities like this to give us the opportunity to engage with local sports teams and share our passions with other @SAPsv employees!
