Productivity Power Play video series – How SAP Fiori and SAP Screen Personas Fit Together
We are continuing the Productivity Power Play series about how SAP Screen Personas and Fiori fit together. So far, we have shown how to use SAP Screen Personas to build a list report with a Fiori-inspired design, use the Fiori object page floor plan, and connect your Fiori-inspired flavors into the Fiori launchpad. In this episode, I discuss which solution to use based on your business scenario.
Topics include:
- overview of how the definition of Fiori has changed from the original collection of apps to the new user experience for SAP software
- the difference in approach between the solutions, using an analogy from the manufacturing world
- walking through a decision tree that a customer created to help them determine when to use Fiori or Screen Personas for simplifying desktop transactions

I am currently working intensively with the diagram, as the company Deloitte is currently (February 2023(!)) using it in the proposal for a presentation for our company about our future UX strategy.
I think the second question is somewhat misleadingly formulated. One could conclude from this that the modification of standard Fiori apps is recommended. The wording should be changed to SAP Fiori Extension.
When conducting a design thinking workshop to derive user needs, the previous technical implementation should not play any role in deciding the future implementation. So the last question should be replaced by several questions that address complexity and similar points.
Hi Tobias,
You are correct. We have updated this diagram several times since it appeared in this post. Please email me if you would like the latest version.
