SUM 1.0 SP16 Patch 1 and 2 SL Common UI Returns an Empty Page for Dual Stack

Symptom:

SUM 1.0 SP16 patch 1 and 2 SL Common UI http://<hostname>:1128/lmsl/sumjava/<SID>/dual.html returns no content even after succesfully registering SUM in SAP Host Agent and providing the username and password asked.

In the same time, I can see the following error in Google Chrome web console tab (F12).

But if I login the SUM SL Common UI ABAP Stack http://<hostname>:1128/lmsl/sumabap/<SID>/doc/sluigui, the page can be shown out successfully.

Environment:

SUM 1.0 SP16 patch 1 and 2

Windows Server 2008 R2

Oracle 11.2.0.4

SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SR1

SAP Host Agent 7.21 with latest patch

The blank page problem for SUM SL Common UI Dual Stack occurs in Google Chrome 49.0.2623.75 (latest), Mozilla Firefox 44.0.2 (latest) and IE 11.

Analyze:

Not sure if it is a program problem or something else. 😕

Solution:

However, for Mozilla Firefox 31.7.0 which located in one of my test SLES servers, the dual stack page can show out the content required (other web browsers without latest version are not tested, sorry).

I have open a message to SAP AGS SUM team, they will take time to test and fix this problem.

      This issue occurs with the newer browser(e.g.chrome version 48.0.2564.116 ).

      With the older browser(e.g. chrome version 47.0.2526),the page shows correctly.

      But for the older Google Chrome 30.0.1599.101, the page still has error.

      Yes Mate i am also with you.

      I am having the same issue. Have raised message with SAP.

      Unfortunately they have removed all the older versions leaving the bugull SUM 🙁

      Hello Omkar,

      Try some old version of web browser, but not too old and then retry login.

      I have open an incident to SAP, they said that SUM 1.0 SPS14 and SPS15 could not be provided.

      It worked for me with latest Google Chrome and  Mozilla. IE9.0 did not work for me 🙁

      Hope SAP would fix the browser issues soon.

      Until sum SP16 patch 3,this issue still occurs,I had sent a incident to SAP.

      This issue disappears after applied sum sp16 patch 6.

      Hello Ning Tong,

      I am using the SUM SP16 Patch Level 13 and my IE 11 Browser, FF 38.4 and Chrome 51. Sometimes the sum starts with normal behaviour but all browser can't render address of sum installer client.

      My error message : "XML-Processing error: no element found. In address:

      "http://<servername><port>">http://<servername>:<port>/lmsl/sumjava/<SID/index.html>"
