I upgraded to Windows 10 and installed SAP Mobile Documents. I was expecting to find quick link "Mobile Docs" in left panel in File Explorer, but it was not there. This was a surprise because i was quite habitual to have it there. So, i did a bit of research and sharing my understanding to help others moving to Windows 10.

In Windows 10, File Explorer has a new “Quick Access” view. Whenever you open a file browser window, you’ll see a list of “frequent folders” and recent files. This list of folders also replaces the Favorites view in older Windows OS (<Windows 10).

But when we upgrade all the favorites links are not added to Quick Access by Windows 10. This is by design by Windows 10.

Now, you have to add "Mobile Docs" as an entry in Quick Access yourself. Follow the steps below to do so:

  1. Open File Explorer

  2. Navigate to C:\Users\<current-user> folder

  3. You will Mobile Docs listed there

  4. Right click on the Mobile Docs folder and choose Pin to Quick Access

Now, you will have Mobile Docs added to Quick Access.
