TechEd 2013: Agile custom development with BOPF

I was honored to be invited as speaker at TechEd 2013 in Amsterdam.

While I was overwhelmed by the number of attendants and positive acclaim, but the slides never got published.

Now that Netweaver 7.50, the content becomes more relevant than ever: The tools which enable custom agile development have moved into the Netweaver layer. From my perspective, there is no reason why not to start your application on this stack.

You can find the slides with a lot of speaker notes here.

If you are more the kind of an auditive person an like to listen to German English, you might prefer a live recording of the session, Carine Tchoutouo Djomo was so kind to publish it on the ABAP-Youtube-channel:

Have you had similar experiences and – most important – which technologies did you use?

Would be most interested to reading about them in the comments!

Thanks, Kai, for bringing this up again.

Most of the watchers of this space may have more know-how about BOPF than about the technical limitations of SCN. I sent a message to the moderators. Maybe they can give some advice.

      Hi Oliver,
thanks a lot for conducting and now providing this entertaining presentation on SCN. It is very exciting to hear about the development process and your conclusions and comments. As you managed it to get it online, I'll try to get it linked in an appropriate place on the home page 🙂
      Best regards
      Tilmann

Great presentation actually ,Fast Foward a bit - Eclipse integration with BOPF is done (2022) ,UI interface - SAP FIORI done (all heavy lifting is by SAP) ...of course I will weigh between CAP VS RAP VS BOPF + CDS + FIORI on a case by case basis (Cloud,on premise ,version of s/4 hana etc)

thanks for great presentation and qa
