Solution Manager Update – Welcome to 2016!

Welcome to 2016, the year Solution Manager 7.2 will be released. Firstly, apologies for missing January update as I was hiking the Tongariro Crossing in New Zealand!

Thinking about Solman 7.2?

Following on from the December post on why goto 7.2, below is a quick summary of the impact:

Also unlike the upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1, thee 7.2 upgrade is standard ie all content is upgradable. The main technical change is the stack split of ABAP and Java. This is done as part of the upgrade process. HANA is optional but highly recommended due to significant performance improvements and fully integrated free text search of ITSM and Solution Documentation (no TREX).
