To be ‘THE’ Cloud Company powered by SAP HANA is the 2020 strategy of SAP. We at PI HANA Analytics DW Engineering Services have our focus aligned with this strategy. The team has engaged in several customer/partner centric forums and have made their presence felt. Be it SCN, SAP Insider Track, Product Innovation Summit or IOT Fair – name the event, our colleagues have actively contributed to share their expertise and at the same time gained insights into the real-time usage of the products in our portfolio.
Looking at the LOB name itself, one can guess the diverse nature of the products that the team works upon. Currently our team has been working on the following products: BW on HANA, BW Modeling Tools, HANA Data Warehousing Foundation, Analysis Office, Design Studio, Medical Insights, Search on HANA, HANA Modeler and all End to End applications on HANA. This list will only keep growing to accommodate new innovations.
The team has explored several opportunities to help customers and partners with their technical know-how and has benefited by the business and functional know-how of the customer and partner community. To focus on problems faced by customers, partners and end users, experts in the team have actively contributed to SCN. We have 3 members in the top 10 of SCN leaderboard for BW on HANA and Analysis Office, several others have also marked their presence in the blog space. During SAP Insider Track (SIT) – an SAP community event organized by partners and customers, we have given effective sessions on BW, DW Foundation and LUMIRA on HCP. Several sessions were handled by the team during Design Studio Partner Info days that enabled 800 + consultants. Sessions on Data Distribution Optimizer (DDO) and Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) were conducted for customers like Cognizant and ERICCSON. Orators from our team presented topics covering different aspects of HANA, Data warehousing and IoT to customers at Product Innovation Summit. HANA SP09, HANA SP10 & BW on HANA NW750, Product Management (PM) Roll-Outs to customers and partners in the APJ region helped the participants understand what’s new in these releases. The feedback from these events helped us gather valuable inputs back to the product. Trainings at customer location were conducted for topics on HANA and BW on HANA at Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore. Also for events such as HP HANA Day, HANA Ops Summit, Indus Conclave, SI/ISV Partner Enablement + Advisory valuable technical support was provided by the team
SP10 HANA PM Rollout
Learning and supporting developer community within SAP had remained a primary goal for our team. We made most of the opportunity provided at internal events in SAP Labs where we shared our knowledge and also learnt about the other Products and Solutions of SAP. During Platform Day our colleagues covered 13 topics across HANA, BW, Search and Clients. In IOT Fair – an SLI event to showcase SAP’s reach in the emerging market of Internet of Things (IoT), we had significant contributions and 2 of the ideas from the team were among the finalists. 56 sessions were handled by 28 speakers from our team during d-code (TechEd). We continued our involvement in enabling the SAP HANA ecosystem by conducting trainings for SAP Education, SAP Labs India, SAP Affiliates and other Customer location specific trainings.
Every challenge that we face teaches us a new chapter, the attitude and the motivation to face these head on is what would help us scale greater heights. As a team, PI HANA Analytics DW Engineering Services zealously looks forward to enable SAP scale new heights in the forthcoming future. In a nutshell, we Run Better to make everything Run Simple 🙂
