Fiori Launchpad directly asks for username/password without showing sunflower screen

Recently, I faced a problem regarding to the SAP Fiori Launchpad screen which directly asked for the username and password without showing out the sunflower screen even after the logon page was configured. (for how to configure Fiori Launchpad screen, please refer to Configuring a Login Screen for the Launchpad – User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver – SAP Library)

The problem looked like that:

Analysis:

The problem may be related to the latest version of component SAP_UI 740. SAP_UI component has a support package level 14 in my system. (Got from SAP AGS). The error logon configure for service /default_host/sap/bc/ui2/flp listed in TC SICF is not correct.

How to fix:

Double click service /default_host/sap/bc/ui2/flp, change to Error Pages tab and drill down to subtab Logon Errors. Select System Logon and click Configuration button.

Select Define Service Specific Settings and Input the ABAP Class /UI2/CL_SRA_LOGIN.

Finally, save your settings for this service.

Logon SAP Fiori Launchpad and try again, then we get what we want.

      Hi Ning Tong,

      I have 3 additional advices:

      1) Always force to go to HTTPS

Basic authentification and Form-based authentification isn't secure and must be prevented

      2) Please add this logon settings to the OData channels too. Else you still will get the

      popup.

The reason behind this is the following:

If your SSO cookie expires and you still have your Fiori app open, the Fiori App will do an OData call and the system will react with the popup. By also change the logon settings of the OData channel, you will go to the same logon page.

Keep in mind, that with this configuration, for OData service you will always go to the Fiori Logon page.

      3) Also setup the SICF node of the logoff page to your fiori launchpad url

      Kinds regards,

      Robert

      Hello Sam,

Please open your browser console with F12 and check Network tab if there is any hint about this.

Do you have already configured the logon screen according to the following link

      https://help.sap.com/saphelp_uiaddon10/helpdata/en/fe/968d085c5b4442957c727f89e57577/content.htm?

If this blog still can't solve your problem, please open an incident to SAP with component CA-FE-FLP-EU providing your SAP UI component level information.
