Creating Cloud Extensions – Part 2: Connecting to HANA Cloud Platform (HCP) from SuccessFactors (SFS)
Developing extensions for SuccessFactors, can be achieved with Custom apps, which requires for you to create a link between SuccessFactors and HANA Cloud Platform (HCP).
With these articles, I will take you through the journey of getting your first SuccessFactors extension up and running.
First log on to SuccessFactors Provisioning, and click the company you wish to connect to HANA Cloud Platform:
Second, click the “Extensions Management” link under “Edit Company Settings”:
On the next screen, check the box Extensions Management, and enter the S-number of the person who should be doing the configuration, into the field “SAP HANA Cloud Platform Administrator User”:
When you save the changes (Click Save) – it will take a while to set up the trust relationship to the HCP instance.
After this, you can click the link next to “Extension SAP HANA Cloud Platform Account” and start developing, which will be covered in the Part 4 (to come)
While configuring this part, I had a minor issue though, which you can see in Part 3 here:
Another example of what can go wrong (when automatic bindings failed), is covered here:
