New Year, new mission for BHS

BHS’ revival will continue apace in 2016, with two new faces joining the company to steer the department store’s progress.

In late December, BHS owner Retail Acquisitions appointed former Unigate finance director, Aidan Treacy, as its new Chief Financial Officer – the group’s first board appointment since March.

Treacy has extensive experience revitalising businesses and most recently held the position of Associate Director at business advisory firm, Essendon Group.

He is known as something of a turnaround specialist, and is an ideal candidate to support Retail Acquisitions, which bought BHS for £1 from Sir Philip Green in 2015.

BHS has also brought another retail titan on board to support its growth in 2016: Tony Holdway, former Brand Marketing Director at House of Fraser.

Holdway’s department store experience will prove invaluable, as will his back catalogue of senior roles at Wickes, Woolworths and Littlewoods. He joins BHS as Marketing and Creative Director.
