Solution:

As per SAP, this future will be available in Version 4.2 SP3.

The attachment (testing_binary.zip) contains the fix .

    1) Unzip files in attachment “testing_binary.zip”

copy them to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Xcelsius 4.0\assets\queryComponent

(backup original files first)

    2)  Re-launch Dashboards

    3) Open your xlf file, see if you can find the technical name in

tooltip.

    4) Note As per SAP, these files should work with BI4.1 Dashboards SP05 and

above, I tested with 4.1 SP02, it works.

you can find the technical name in tool-tip.

Note: Attached files I received from SAP as a interim solution.

      Hi Jameel,

Thanks for sharing. Always a pain for searching for the bw query technical name in dashboard. Glad to hear that the solution will available in the new version by default.

Anyway, i didn't see any attached file. Did you forgot to attach?

      Thank you in advance.

      Hi,

According to note  2261141 - In SAP Dashboards, BEx technical name is not displayed on Query Browser and Query Panel, this issue has also been fixed on some latest version of BI 4.1.

So it is not recommended to use the zip file which is just a interim solution.

Instead, upgrading to the version as above will be a better solution.

      Regards,
