Higher Revenue per Seat at the Sachsenring and Hannover 96
How Sachsenring and Hannover 96 have revolutionized their ticketing system.
Nadine Klaube, Ticketing manager at Hannover 96, is delighted with the football club’s new online ticket shop. “Before the match against Bayern Munich, we received only one email from a fan who needed assistance with booking in the online-shop,” she says. “We used to receive at least 200.”
Since last summer, Hannover 96 has benefitted from new features, thanks to SAP Event Ticketing. The club has made buying tickets more convenient for its fans than ever before. This was made possible by the WOW shop and its integrated social media functionality. Customers can log in more easily and quickly find the best available seats via a dedicated button. Tickets can be booked at any time with just a few clicks, or via smartphone or tablet.
Moreover, these innovations simplify many administration tasks for event organizers. For example, they can save time when creating events by copying event locations in the system or send personalized messages to customers using an integrated email marketing tool. What’s more, seating can be optimized in the webstore and admission times can be configured.
The management of the Sachsenring race track also use the solution, and they are very pleased with the results. After just three weeks, the WOW shop was ready to use. “We see SAP as a reliable partner that we can trust to carry out the 2016 GoPro motorcycle Grand Prix at Sachsenring,” says Nadin Pohlers, authorized officer of Sachenring. “The efficient collaboration with SAP enabled us to create a comprehensive ticket system for Germany’s largest motorsports event.”
