How to install SQL Anywhere 17 on CentOS 7.x

This blog introduces installing SAP SQL Anywhere 17 on CentOS 7.x. The developer edition can be download from https://www.sap.com/cmp/syb/crm-xm15-dwn-dt015/index.html.

Check the edition of CentOS

Create SQL Anywhere group and user account

Create the installation directory

Log on user sqlaw17 and uncompress the installation package of SQL Anywhere 17

Start SQL Anywhere 17 installation program

Welcome screen, select Forward

Choose the location and accept the agreement, then select Forward

Choose installation type, then select Forward

Input registration key or choose developer edition, then select Forward

Accept the terms of this agreement, then select Forward

Select installation component, and installed directory, then select Forward

Choose the additional actions with the installation performance, then select Forward

Review all choices, then select Forward

Wait the installing completely

Successfully

Quit installation

Set SQL Anywhere 17 environment variables

Re-log on and enable environment variables
