Layout-Oriented Storage Control in EWM

Layout-Oriented Storage Control:

For specific storage types in the warehouse it might be necessary to move the goods via an interim storage type, for example an elevator to move from one floor to the other.

Set Up:

Maintain interim storage types

LOSC Settings:

Process:

Create Inbound delivery in ECC

T Code : VL31N

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/5_849779.png

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/6_849780.png

HU is required to work with LOSC ,since we have not activated ID point ‘or’ pick point

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/7_849781.png

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/8_849782.png

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/9_849783.png

Now ECC inbound delivery distributed to EWM as a inbound delivery notification

EWM :

Sap easy access-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Delivery Processing-Inbound Delivery-Maintain Inbound Delivery Notification

T Code : /SCWM/IDN

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/10_849784.png

One inbound delivery is created automatically through PPF actions

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/11_849785.png

Create WTs

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/12_849786.png

Check these are HU warehouse tasks

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/13_849787.png

Now two WTs are created

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/14_849794.png

Go to monitor to check the WTs against inbound delivery

T Code : /scwm/mon

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/15_849795.png

Here we can see one WT from GRSTAGE area to final put away bin & second WT is from GRSTAGE area to intermediate bin

Now confirm the open WT ( GRSTAGE to intermediate bin)

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/16_849796.png

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/17_849800.png

Now one new WT is created ( from First intermediate bin to second intermediate bin)

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/18_849801.png

Now confirm the open WT

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/19_849802.png

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/20_849803.png

Now check the waiting WT , it is updated with new source bin to final putaway bin

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/21_849804.png

Confirm the open WT to finish the putaway activity

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/22_849805.png

/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/23_849809.png

Now HU Is placed in bin as per the putaway strategy

T Code : /N/SCWM/MON

      Hi,

      Nice blog, short but clear.

One addition: it might be useful to add a screenshot of the Warehouse Process Type and highlight the 'Select HU w/o Storage Process' setting. In your scenario, this setting probably defines that you have a HU WT instead of a Product WT.

      Regards,

      Oliver

      Hi Radek,

I'm afraid that working with HU's is a prerequisite for using LOSC or POSC. Please refer to this link for more info:

To make full use of the EWM potential and capabilities, Handling Units are pretty much essential from my point of view. You might want to consider using HU's in your project as well.

      Regards,

      Oliver

      Hi, very nice setting scenario.

Unfortunately, this setting doesn´t work for LOSC without HU. I tried to activate ID point, but the proccess doesn´t work 🙁

Have you already tried the set up LOSC without HU?

      Thank you for your help!

      Br Radek
