Perhaps you’ve heard of Humans of New York (HONY), the five-year-old vibrant photograph-blog-turned-#1-New-YorkTimes-best-selling-book run by a man named Brandon that provides a worldwide audience with daily glimpses into the lives of the people in New York City. Inspired by HONY, we decided to do our own spinoff and call it Humans of SAPsv. Each week, through the end of December, we’ll feature three employees complete with their picture, name, title, Twitter handle, and snippets of their passion for SAP, their commitment to their colleagues and community, and what inspires them both inside and outside of SAP.

Enjoy learning more about your colleagues and share your comments below!

What are you passionate about at SAP?
I am passionate about humanizing technology for our clients. For 40 years, SAP has led the enterprise applications market and re-invented itself several times. The current transformation is perhaps the most critically important one. Being able to play a role in driving strategically important topics is what keeps me energized on a daily basis. Driving discussions from the perspective of key stakeholders in solving diverse problems for clients is invigorating.

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
My favorite thing about SAP is the opportunity to work with clients across diverse industries to solve their problems in different domains. Regardless of which industry or functional area you are working on, you are likely to find expert within SAP to learn from. A large pool of highly talented colleagues willing to share their knowledge, is an amazing place to be.

What’s your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is to learn from the best minds of past and present and the way I do this is by reading books they have written. Not only do I get to increase my knowledge, but also appreciate the intellect and dedication these people have for the field of their expertise.

What’s one bucket list item?
I intend to write at least one book before I depart from this world. One of the primary topics that I care deeply about is about finding meaning in life. In my book, I intend to explore questions such as: What is the purpose of our existence? Why have we been given consciousness? Does our superior cognitive abilities serve some purpose beyond fulfilling our materialistic and biological desires? Do our limited faculties enable us to answer questions beyond the observable realities? Are we being blind-sided by hubris of our intellect, which is inherently limited?

What are you passionate about at SAP?
I love the people at SAP, everyone is so caring and helpful.

What’s your favorite thing about SAP?
I love that we have a flexible workforce and the beer bashes, of course.

Tell me a joke.
What did the llama say when he got his eviction notice?

Alpaca my bags.

If you could travel back in time, which year would you travel to and why?
1920s, they had the most incredible clothing! I would probably only last an hour though, I can’t imagine being a woman in that time period…

What are you passionate about at SAP?
I really enjoy working on multiple challenging projects in SuccessFactors. In addition, there are many tech talks and talented technical folks to add to my knowledge.

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
Besides the projects, I enjoy the mixers where I can interact with other folks that I wouldn’t normally come in contact with.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
I’d love to look at a hat like Sherlock Holmes and figure everything out!

What’s your favorite hobby?
Creating new works of art.
