It is that time, where it is cold here in the Northern Hemisphere but it will be nice and warm in Orlando in May.  Call for abstracts are now being accepted for ASUG Annual Conference 2016 May 17-19, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.  ASUG Annual Conference is co-located with SAPPHIRENOW and is one of the largest SAP events in the world; last year I heard over 25K attended. This year ASUG is using the same submission site as last year with a few minor changes.

Where to start?

Go to this link and you may be prompted to create a new account

/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/1afig_837342.jpg

When you enter your e-mail, either you have an existing account or you may be prompted to create a new account.  Note you must use your company’s e-mail address.

Why Should I Submit?

If your abstract is accepted, you attend the conference for FREE, you get the opportunity to share your knowledge and showcase yourself and your company.   I’ve also found when I presented that I learn far more than the audience.  It’s the rehearsal, preparation, and the process.

What are some tips to submit?

Some tips for your abstract:

ASUG’s Jennie Moreau and Lisa Baker developed some materials, including the items shown above.  A catchy title is important, and customer stories are important.

I encourage you to submit before the deadline, December 30th, to ensure your abstract is in the proper track.

ASUG’s Lisa Baker also compiled some best practices.  Lisa reviews each and every abstract, and yes, grammar and spelling count.

      Hi Peter -

      Thank you for your question.

You don't have to be an ASUG member to submit, but if you are accepted to present, you will need to become an ASUG member.

You can join a user group affiliated to ASUG. It works for me through my membership of the UK user group.

Nigel - just like Steve said, ASUG has complementary membership with user groups - I know Graham has presented before using his SAUG membership (SAUG members are also ASUG Members)

      Hi Tammy,

      Thanks for pushing this forward.

I've followed the link provided, logged in with my " previous year" account and I can only see the SAPPHIRE/ASUG 2015 (what is clearly this year's event).

      Am I doing something wrong?

      Thanks

      Leo

I am sorry for the trouble.

Can you share a screen shot of what your are seeing?  Is there a dropdown where you might be able to select ASUG Annual Conference 2016?

You can also contact speakers at asug.com with technical issues
