SAP TechEd 2015 - Las Vegas
This was the second SAP conference (also, SAPPHIRENOW) I had the pleasure to attend courtesy of SAP University Alliances and Grand Valley State University. As a student, it is such a great experience to meet with industry folks and find out what is taking place in the SAP world.
InnoJam
Before the conference began, I was able to participate in the InnoJam. My team was made up of 4 other people from different industries that I met at the event. We were given a health care issue and the SAP technology, and we were off and running. This experience was incredible, challenging, and an activity I would enjoy doing in the future. I was able to learn a lot about SAP HANA Cloud Platform and other technologies. There were SAP developers in the room during the event, and I was amazed at how knowledgeable they all were. It was truly inspiring. Although my team did not make it to the DemoJam, we were all proud of the application we made.

So many intelligent people to learn from
This year at TechEd, there was an activity called "Catch a Mentor." It was a great opportunity for the student members of University Alliance to stop and chat with mentors. I talked to many mentors about the skills that are needed in the industry, career advice, and what is upcoming with SAP. The SAP mentors are some of the great leaders, teachers, and experts in their fields. It was a pleasure to have the chance to hear what they have to say.

I would like to give a large thank you to both SAP University Alliance and Grand Valley State University for providing me the means to attend the conference. The experience to attend SAP TechEd and SapphireNow have both shaped me into the professional I am today. I have learned what SAP has to offer, as far as careers, and have a clearer direction of my interests. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity.
