SAP TechEd Las Vegas came to a close last week, but the excitement and momentum continues to grow. If you attended TechEd or saw any of the announcements you know SAP Cloud for Analytics was the highlight of the event.

What is SAP Cloud for Analytics? SAP Cloud for Analytics is a new, single experience for decision making where you can discover, visualize, plan and predict, all in one place. Whether you’re in the boardroom or in front of a customer, there is a solution that will meet your needs. There are many advantages to bringing these capabilities together on a single platform, such as commonalities in collaboration, notifications and business processes.

It is built natively in the cloud and delivered as Software as a Services (SaaS). It leverages SAP HANA Cloud Platform (HCP) for high performance and real time access for business users. To be credible as a cloud vendor we cannot simply take our existing on premise solutions and move them to the cloud. Instead we need to develop new, true, and trusted cloud solutions. This provides us with an opportunity to combine innovative thinking with a simple user experiences that truly satisfies the customer.

• Intelligent charts help you pick the best visualizations possible based on relationships within your data. The stunning visualizations are evident in rich geo spatial charts to interactive stories which serve as tools to make an impactful statement. Predictive capabilities allow you to identify possible risks and opportunities as well as identify hidden traits and insights.
• Planning capabilities are enhanced by enabling users to plan and collaborate in real time in the context of their plans. Notifications and alerts keep you attuned to what is most important, your data, and enable more effective communication across teams.
