Working with so many passionate people who help you succeed in your role. What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
I get to do the job I love, work with great people, and be involved in SAP’s Corporate Social Responsibility program giving back to the community–it doesn't get much better than this! What’s something not many people would know about you?
Prior to joining SuccessFactors, I worked for many startups in the Bay Area, which allowed me to have some incredible opportunities such as: performing a balloon sinuplasty on a cadaver and building a lithium ion battery! What’s your favorite hobby?
I like to go horseback riding with my 17-year-old daughter and our two horses. In the winter months, we head to Lake Tahoe and hit the slopes for some skiing.
| What are you passionate about at SAP?
Moore’s law of innovation iteration–faster, better, and bigger adoption. SAP will not be the one creating the next new innovation, but we are the company that will enhance, scale, and monetize the innovations globally. Like Google Glass–they failed at the consumer level in its first iteration, but SAP is parting to bring the same technology into the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Defense, and Security industries. What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
That’s simple: thinking globally, but acting locally and shaping the world through our actions. What’s something not many people would know about you?
I love resto-modding cars and trucks, but I'm equally passionate about the benefits of autonomous cars. I have a 500+-horsepower custom early Bronco parked next to my 109-horsepower all-electric car at home. It's all about balance. If you could have a super power, what would it be?
At work, trying to keep up with emails feels superhuman, but the ability to heal would be the greatest gift. | What are you passionate about at SAP?
Helping SAP (and our partners) change to be businesses of the future. This means helping them market better, understand new business models, and continue to drive long-term revenue. I’m am also very passionate about the culture. SAP has amazing people who are focused on doing the right thing cross divisions, roles, and goals. This attitude is something that makes the company truly exceptional. What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
SAP has given me the ability to constantly learn and reinvent myself. During the time I have been here, I’ve worked for more than 11 managers, in more than 14 different marketing roles for at least five different divisions of the company. We as a company are changing rapidly, as we must to stay relevant. My desire to execute (while educating and driving change) allows me to do this by giving me the chance to take on new roles, build strong teams, and be innovative in approach. I help SAP innovate and change through the valued skills I bring. What’s something not many people would know about you?
I serve as President of the Board for the German School of the East Bay. Every weekend, I volunteer at this non-profit organization, the second largest German school in California, to ensure that every facet of it is running smoothly. It’s a huge undertaking to keep on track, yet it brings me great satisfaction. When not doing that, you will find me out on my bike or hiking with my family. What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is The Giving Tree. I read it to my children regularly because it's an amazing story about the importance of unconditional giving, growing, and finding happiness in the simplest of things. In our busy lives, we can lose sight of key priorities, yet they are the core to who we are. If we compromise our core ethics, we risk happiness and health. |
