4 days long, 45 new to SAP HR colleagues from 12 different EMEA locations met in Walldorf in early October. They listened to 23 presentions, participated in 11 different interactive practice sessions to understand the HR organization and its role within SAP, develop a cross-HR network and last but not least, become more efficient and effective as ONE HR.
The workshop started off with a warm welcome by our board member, Stefan Ries, followed by his fellow HR leadership team colleagues, each presenting their organizations and their role within HR. The following days were filled with insights into each and every team and service of HR at SAP, from career and talent Management, over people sustainability to global mobility and everything in between.
Each presentation was followed by an interactive practice session, e.g. “What will Learning be like in SAP in the year 2020?”, “Present the HR Strategy to your parents” and “Analyze following People Survey Results – What recommendations do you give to the manager to improve the situation in his/her team?”
Participants left headquarters with a great sense of pride and confidence in SAP HR. Many positive responses and personal emails suggested that it was a fantastic deep dive into our organization and really brought “Build Bridges, not Silos” to life.
