Epilepsy Monitor on HCP – Conclusion
Hi all,
Okay, so we didn’t win the Hackathon. But we’ve learned a lot from it. First of all, now we know much more about epilepsy. We’ve also played with all the possibilities of HCP. It’s almost amazing what we’ve created on HCP. And that all with only a trial account.
We’ve created:
- A mobile app connected to HCP Epilepsy Monitor on HCP – Patient Mobile App
- A (non-SAPUI5) HTML5 web application Epilepsy Monitor on HCP – Family and Relatives Web App
- A custom SAPUI5 application Epilepsy Monitor on HCP – Doctors and hospitals SAPUI5 App
- Services that uses PAL on HANA Epilepsy Monitor on HCP – Predicting possible seizures by using PAL
But the most important thing, we’ve connected all these applications as one small platform.
See the full demo of all our created applications:
With HCP you can actually create everything. It’s a platform that has all the components for creating applications.
We’ve learned a lot from it and we hope that these blogs inspire you all to create cool stuff on top of HCP!
Kind regards,
Wouter
Hi Wouter,
I just 'found' this; it's great! I have a keen interest in this area as my youngest son has epilepsy. His seizures occur only during sleep, so a real-time monitor (and alert) would be extremely valuable for us.
Question: Did your work in this area 'go' anywhere within SAP or Flexso?
Thank you,

Hi David,
We did this at a Hackathon organised by UCB a few years ago with Flexso colleagues . After that we showed our case on SAPience (Belgium SAP community for customers) . Since then we didn't do anything with it. We still have this project stored... If interested we could set up a conf call to discuss this topic?
Kind regards,
Wouter
