By the time SAP TechEd begins next week, The University of Mississippi will be about two weeks away from starting our migration to SAP Business Suite on SAP HANA on our production landscape.  Now, granted this will not be as big of a deal to some as say, our football team running the table to finish with only one loss on the season (we are in SEC football country, after all), but those of us in IT who like to remain under the radar actually prefer things that way.  😎

However, this event in early November is the culmination of almost two years worth of prep work, including a full scale proof of concept system to test the performance of the HANA database against our data and to validate that our core business processes would function as expected in this new world of in-memory computing.  Along the way, we have learned a few things.  Want to hear more?  Be sure to attend Building the Business Case for SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA on Tuesday, October 20.
