CHH Uses SAP BPC To Manage ‘Green’ Forestry Credits
Carter Holt Harvey (CHH), a New Zealand-based forest products company, is using a software by PXC Oxygen based on SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) software to create a more transparent and user-friendly process for complying with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody credit system. The solution comprises the development of a modelling solution to manage fiber credits associated with the Forest Stewardship Council certification. It also offers a replacement for the existing fiber credit model with new process developed within SAP’s BPC system; and the creation of a range of reports that clearly detail raw material purchases, certified product and product yield.
Arthur Brockway, CHH project manager for the implementation, commented: “We wanted to minimize risk to the business by transferring it into a robust business system. SAP BPC provided the perfect vehicle for that.”
