But in a world where businesses are constantly challenged to deliver more value with flat or shrinking resource allocations, we must all find new and improved ways to find the value in our data. A popular approach is to try to empower end users to be more self-sufficient with the BI basics, thus freeing limited IT resources to focus on more complicated requirements, a.k.a. Self-Service BI (SSBI). But developing and implementing a sound SSBI strategy is much easier said than done. This presentation will share the story of Intel’s ongoing efforts to expand SSBI adoption across its global enterprise, including insights into strategic objectives, organizational and technical challenges, and the use of SAP BusinessObjects tools like Web Intelligence, SAP Lumira, and the BIP audit database to monitor and analyze progress.
