Over the past weeks we are seeing many incidents being opened by BW customers wich are receiving a Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL_M when trying to activate or transport transformations.


Message no. RG102

There are many causes for this error, they can occurs from transformation routines, or inconsistency in mapping of fields till program errors.

Having this error on mind I decided to create this blog to provide some notes that can be checked before open an incident for SAP.

1946031 – Syntax error GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL during activation of transformation

2038924 – 730SP13:Transformation with target as outbound Infosurce of an SPO cannot be activated

2124482 – SAP BW 7.40(SP11) Activation failed for Transformation

2128157 – SAP BW 7.40(SP11) advanced DSO read in Transformation

2152631 – 730SP14: Syntax error during activation of Transformations

2253173 – Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL for rule type ADSO LOOKUP

2326505 – Activation of transformation fails with error: Type “_B_1_ADS_T” is unknown
