Dilipkumar Khandelwal, MD, SAP Labs India and Executive Vice President & Global Head of Suite Engineering addressed over 20 start-ups, mentors, mentor-angels and Faculty Members of IIM-Ahmedabad on September 18, as a part of the SAP-CIIE Start Up Accelerator Program. At the meet, 20 start-ups made a pitch for their Business and Expansion plan, Value Proposition, and Go-to-market strategy. Dilip was a part of the selection & evaluation panel, comprising Angel investors, Mentors and Faculty members of IIM Ahmedabad, which will shortlist the cohort of 8 start-ups for imminent Accelerator program This program, launched in May 2015 at IIM Ahmedabad, received 249 applications from start-ups, of which 20 were selected for pre-accelerator spanned across 2 weeks. It is now in its second phase in which selected 8 start-ups will be accelerated and 2-3 start-ups will receive investment from CIIE at IIM-A. Dilip in his address spoke about SAP’s vision to strengthen the start-up ecosystem; technology as a disruptor for business models for the start-ups and the entrepreneurship ecosystem; trends and the need for Indian start-ups to define their own business processes to create values.
