Welcome to Las Vegas SAP TechED in Lost Wages, I mean Las Vegas is just around the corner, well, a few weeks away anyways.  For most of us, this is a pretty busy time.  As speakers, presenters, and other notables, we are making preparations to create the best content for you, our attendees.  This year is no exception.  While it’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to get things ready, this is one of the best events for us more technically inclined crowd, that being we get the opportunity to interact with you all directly.  For me personally I hope that this feeling is mutual as I get quite excited to hear your stories of how our solutions and products have innovated the way you do business.

This year, I will be attending as a part of the HANA Cloud Platform product management team.  You’ll find me supporting various sessions that I hope to see you all at.  This ranges from staffing the HCP Booths, doing expert networking sessions, to supporting a hands-on session in which you will learn how to build extensions on top of the HANA Cloud Platform.

At the HCP Booths, you’ll be able to learn more about the platform in a no-pressure-casual atmosphere.  During our “expert networking sessions”, I hope to have an environment in which you will feel like you’re in a pub, meeting up with some friends to talk about the topic.  Speaking of topics, below is the schedule for these sessions that I will be participating in:

For the “Demythifying” session, I’ll be joined by my boss, Jenny Lundberg – so help me make a good impression – as well as my colleague Pankaj Kumar. Here, we want to help you clarify any points that you may have heard or learned over the past few days at TechED.  We’ve all been there, we hear one story, and we hear another, how exactly do they line up?  Well, join us in this session and we hope to help you nail it down.

In the “Cloud Extensions on HANA Cloud Platform” session, I’ll be joined by our extensions guru, Krasimir Semedzhiev, also known as Krassi (found on twitter as @evilyeti).  You’ll have an opportunity to talk to us about the extensions story on HCP.

Lastly, are the 2-hour-get-my-hands-dirty session; I’m not sure if I’m allowed to write that, but I will anyways.  There are two opportunities to join, the times and location are listed below – location-wise, please confirm once you’re on site, as these are subject to change.

In these hands-on courses, you’ll learn the concepts of extensions on HCP as you are building one from scratch.  For those who are attending TechED in Barcelona, you’ll be happy to hear that the same course will be offered there.  Unfortunately I won’t be (there), but you’ll be in great hands as the session is led by Peter Peshev, Stanimir Ivanov.

We’d love to see you there, so make time on your schedules and be sure to join us.

I hope you found my blog informational an entertaining. Tweet me @thesapmic with #micatteched2015 with your thoughts and wants out of TechED Las Vegas and I’ll see you when you get there.
