In February this year, SAP announced SAP S/4HANA and over 65,000 learners have signed up to our nutshell and deep dive courses with openSAP this year. We’ve collected feedback from some of our learners to find out what else you would like to learn about SAP S/4HANA and the result is our latest openSAP course, SAP S/4HANA – Use Cases starting November 4. In addition to this new course, we’re also re-launching an updated version of SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA in a Nutshell featuring updated information along with a new unit on SAP Activate, starting October 28. SAP Activate is the new innovation adoption accelerator introduced with SAP S/4HANA, a unique combination of SAP Best Practices, Methodology, and Guided Configuration delivered with a reference solution

As the name indicates, SAP S/4HANA – Use Cases is structured along the use cases of SAP S/4HANA and will showcase values across the innovation areas, taking into consideration both the business and the technical (IT) perspectives for each selected example. The course will feature ten use cases across a variety of roles within your organization including sales and marketing, finance, HR, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Here the list of use cases to be addressed:

Use Case 3: Accelerated Material Requirements Planning

Use Case 4: Advanced Sales Order Fulfillment

Use Case 5: Soft Financial Close Anytime

Use Case 8: Drive HR Compliance across the Organization

Use Case 9: Detect Potential Fraud Patterns in Real Time

Use Case 10: Detect Collaborative Work Patterns


You will see use cases to manage your inventory and supply, along with simplifying your sales process with real time inventory management, accelerated material requirements planning, and advanced sales order fulfillment. Your finance department will also be interested in learning about soft closing throughout the month to avoid dealing with and solving all issues and reconciliation at the end of the month along with how you can increase your financial business performance. Finally, your HR colleagues will see how to engage talent and drive HR compliance across the organization, and how SAP S/4HANA can help detect potential fraud patterns in real time.

After the course, you’ll have examples at hand that you can relate to your specific situation. You will gain insights into the SAP S/4HANA capabilities you can adopt for your company’s processes. You’ll also understand and be able to reuse the value levers framework and the innovation adoption cycle to showcase the value of SAP S/4HANA using the scenarios that were introduced.
