On July 31, the 2015 InnoWeeks prototypes were presented at the event that ended the challenge. The initiative had great outcomes and all the groups showed they put a lot of effort on each project. Check below what they’ve come up with:


Challenge: show how to implement an adequate and feasible technology to minimize product shortages through the use of weight and pressure sensors.

Solution: Retail Solution – An object sensor detector that is able to read the supermarket shelves to verify the lack of products. The sensors send data to the SAP HANA Cloud Platform through an Arduino and the user can interact with them by using a graphics platform developed on SAP Ui5.


Challenge: how to enable the SAP ERP to make decisions based on data generated by the Stara Topper telemetry system

Solution: Agribusiness Prototype – With the telemetry data being transmitted by STARA TOPPER 5500 to SAP HANA Cloud Platform, the prototype allows the user to monitor and review the plan of the plantation in real-time, in order to ensure a more efficient and assertive operation. Also, once the data is available on the SAP HANA Database, it is ready to communicate with SAP ERP or any of the SAP Solutions.

Challenge: Answer the question “How do we use technology within the Brazilian Federal Highway Police for prevention, recognition optimization and monitoring?”

Solution: SAP Salus – Named after the roman goddess Salus, the solution aims to protect and provide safety to the citizens. Acting in the Policia Rodoviaria Federal scope of surveillance, SAP Salus combines the Internet of Things with HANA Cloud Platform in order to prevent and monitor the crime occurrence within Rio Grande do Sul.


Challenge: Provide a solution that will manage data of the freight in an efficient and transparent way in order to satisfy the end-customer and prevent accidents and losses.

Solution: SAP Fleet – It is a solution for fleet data management to be used by transportation companies. It integrates data from the vehicle and the specific trips retrieved, in real time, with the driver’s data and transforms it in information for the company’s manager, using SAP HANA and SAP Lumira.

From now on, the groups have until the end of August to make any changes and final touches on their prototypes. On August 27th, at the Techniversity event, they will present their solutions and a group of judges will select a winner.
