If you are in the textile industry – there is a new SAP.com site that might be of use to you.

Textile Industry Supported at SAP – customers, blogs, white papers

The textile industry is global, complex and as safety oriented as it is margin-oriented.  Many textile companies are looking at how digital technology can help them leverage technology to help them grow sustainably while securing gains in productivity, real time customer engagement and safety.  They are  actively looking at analytics, in memory, Internet of Things, big data – to help maximize asset availability, optimize supply chain performance, and achieve customer service excellence.

Sometimes we talk about the broader challenges that Mill Products companies face – or even Energy and Natural Resources industries face – broader categories that include textiles.   But we also know that companies want to know what others are doing in their direct or closely related industries.

We now have an SAP.com site dedicated to textile industry.  We will continue to refresh this site with the newest customer stories, thought leadership commentary and white papers that you can look at as you continue down your digital transformation journey.  Some examples that you can find talk about how:

  • Mohawk Carpet is becoming one of the most forward thinking users of technology – implementing SAP CRM and SAP Cloud for Customer.  Mohawk customers tell them “my Mohawk rep knows me better than I know myself.”
  • Getzner Textil is increasing visibility and efficiency including driving greater uptime with faster root cause analysis by using SAP ERP and SAP Mii (Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence)
  • G.G. Fashions, a 200 person company, is using SAP solutions for real-time visibility into the financial state of the business, greater accuracy and optimization across inventory management and more-reliable planning.
