Under SAP University Alliances program, SAP Greece supports the LDA Appathon Athens 2015.
The LDA project aims at implementing on a large scale, and in a real life test bed, innovative mobile services based on COPERNICUS (The European Earth Observation Programme) and GNSS (The Global Navigation Satellite System) in the region of Attica, Greece. This project is supported by European Commission in the framework of the European Mobile and Mobility Industries Alliance.
The app camp will take place at Innovathens, on the 29th and 30th of October 2015. Each participating team will be asked to develop, within a timeframe of 36 hours, a B2B mobile prototype application that would utilize the SAP HANA Cloud Platform and LUCIAD solutions. The app should solve a real life/business problem using earth observation Copernicus, as well as, other satellite navigation data. During the first 3 hours of the Appathon, participants will join a Design Thinking session, where the process will focus on needfinding, understanding, creating, thinking, and doing. Two weeks prior to Appathon, on October 14th, participants will be invited to join a full day workshop on the SAP HANA Cloud platform and LUCIAD, in order to become familiar with those tools. Participants are expected to have a background in computer science, geomatics or related fields and be familiar with widely used programming and standard relational database management languages (e.g. Java, C++, .net, SQL).
