Part 1: A sneak preview on ASUG TechEd preconference “Tame Big-Process Challenges with Intelligent Business Operations, Powered by SAP HANA”

In a previous blog posted by peter.mcnulty we have introduced the problem space of taming a big process in your company using our intelligent business operations bundle.

We profoundly use the term taming as a synonym to the term gaining control or visibility on your golden nugget processes which typically differentiates you from your competition. Visibility over big process using SAP Operational Process Intelligence is a key ingredient of our full day hands on workshop.

In a first of a three part series I would provide a sneak preview on the exercises scheduled during the ASUG TechEd preconference on Monday 19th of October 2015. Incase you are planning to join TechEd Barcelona we are repeating this workshop on Monday 9th of November.

We have split the entire day's schedule into three parts

1. Foundation: The first half of the day covers the basics of gaining visibility over a SAP BPM process. You will discover a running Inquire to Order process from SAP Process Orchestration system and configure the visibility patterns over it to enable your business operator monitor the performance of your running process, without changing anything in the source BPM system. You will then enhance the scenario to add an additional process covering the Order Delivery management system and configure correlation conditions to gain visibility over end to end visibility of your value chain.
2. Advanced: The second half of the day covers the next steps which you would typically implement in your company after gaining visibility over your running processes. This section will focus on sense track and act on the threats and opportunities arising in inquire, order to deliver operations. We will extensively cover modeling HANA Rules Framework, HANA Workflow and Business Scenario to solve these problems using the insights to action pattern.
3. Value Added Demos: Towards the evening we would cover several value added demos using intelligent business operations bundle and other SAP products. We are planning the following demos:
   1. Analytics: Understand the power of SAP Lumira with SAP Operational Process Intelligence
   2. IoT: Experience the Internet of everything using SAP Operational Process Intelligence
   3. Process Mining(watch out for this space as we are planning a separate blog for this)
