How to request and install license for SAP HANA Engine and SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA
After the installation of SAP HANA and SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA, you should request and install the license for SAP HANA and SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA in prevention of system outage caused by the expiry of evaluation license.
2 types of license required:
-SAP HANA License: License for SAP HANA Engine, which allow you to use the SAP HANA DB Engine and its components.
Please refer to the note 1739427 – How to request and install the SAP HANA license key. Without a permanent license key installed, you can only use SAP HANA for 90 days.
-SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA User License: License for end user to access SAP Business One,version for SAP HANA, Such as professional user license or limited CRM users etc.

Step 1: Find out the hardware key for your B1H server from License Manager Center in SLD. https://<Your_HANA_Server>:40000/LicenseControlCenter/
Step 2: Request the license from https://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/licensekeys with the following selection
System Id: B01
Database Type: SAP HANA.
OS: Linux
Without a valid license key of SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA installed, you can only use SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA for 30 days, and the following analytics functions will be not accessible.
- Enterprise Search
- Role-based Cockpit, KPI, Pervasive Dashboard,
- Interactive Analytics
- Advanced ATP
- Cash Flow Forecast. etc.
Step 3: Install the license key with License Manager Center in SLD: https://<Your_HANA_Server>:40000/LicenseControlCenter/
