Create Master Data on the Fly in SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.1 NW, version for NetWeaver

This How-To-Guide presents and walks through steps to create Master Data on the fly using SAP BPC 10.x, NetWeaver Platform Data Manager package.

Traditionally BPC administrators create and maintain dimensions and their members in the BPC Administration web client to ensure governance and consistency of master data across all applications.

However under certain circumstances, it may be necessary to allow end users to create master data values themselves “on the fly” rather than having to wait for a central administrator to do it for them.

Hello Jean-Marie.  We have recently upgraded from BPC 10.0 NW / EPM 20, SP 1 to BPC 10.1 NW (standard) / EPM 23, patch 2.  I am looking for as much information as I can to summarize what is new.   If you can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

      Regards,

      Rose Paratto

Hello Rose, When it comes to " What's New " in a solution, the main source of info is the official SAP Help site under section " What’s New – Release Notes " . For example for SAP BPC 10.1 NW , you may find info here :  http://help.sap.com/bopacnw10  You will also find section " Additional information ", where documentation about Product Availability Matrix is also available. Regards, JM

I'm not able to import the software Component EPMK900480. My sytsem keeps refering to not installed software components, including CPMBPC 800 which is redundant while using BPC 10.1.

Any idea on what might be going wrong?

      Kind regards,

      Harmen

Hello, I'm facing the same import failure as Harmen mentioned earlier.
My system also keeps refering to not installed software component including CPMBPC which no longer exist on BPC 10.1 on BW 7.5.
      Kind regards,

      hello

i'm working with sap bw 740 , and i can't integrate this fonctionality (master data on the fly) beacause the transport request files are exported from a 730 version ,
It would help me so much if someone has the same version and could export it for me (on my version).
